I haven’t posted a garden update in a while, mainly because the summer heat ravaged the garden and pictures of shriveled plants are not so exciting. Luckily, I slacked off on pulling out the dead looking plants and now we’ve got garden-fresh tomatoes!
Who knew we could grow tomatoes in November? There are larger ones which aren’t quite ripe yet. But check out this pile of cherry tomatoes.

We’ve already given away 4 bags full of cherry tomatoes (all off of one plant) within the last 2 weeks. We can’t eat them fast enough! To add to the bounty, we’ve got bell peppers, hot peppers, and possibly even some cantaloupe. Yummy!
We’ve also got tons of lemons on our tree again. If anyone has good lemon recipes, please send them my way! We still have frozen lemon cubes in our freezer from last year.

Wow Katie that is amazing. I would have to say you have a green thumb, your garden is working out great!
We go through a lot of lemons. When I make smoothies (fruit and spinach), I like to put lemon juice in it. Another thing we use lemons for is our date-lemon salad dressing (olive oil, lemon juice, cinnamon, dates). Let me know if you need more details.
