Given my kids propensity to raid the pantry (and dump its contents), I’ve found myself with two whole boxes of cheerios that I dare not eat (I know where it’s been and it isn’t pretty!). So, I’ve been pondering the last few days the best way to use dirty cheerios. Here are my top 10 ideas:
- Make garland for the christmas tree.

- Use in bird feeders (or make your own).
- Make art work.

- Create a counting game using cheerios, a muffin tin, and numbered circles.
- Feed the ducks at the park (although we probably won’t do this – not too good for the ducks!).
- Ground them up in a blender – add two cups to your bath to assuage your sunburn or itchy skin.

- Create a facial by combining ground up cheerios, lemon juice and honey. Apply, let soak in, and rinse off.
- Use as “target practice” while potty-training boys.
- Make pictures that are missing round parts & have child add cheerios to complete the picture (a la “The Cheerios Play Book” but homemade)

- Make bracelets, necklaces or other jewelry with your girls.
