Days 3 and 4 of our Advent Activities were to make some crafty stuff. On the 3rd, we made some Christmas tags out of cardstock and gift catalogs. DD did a great job gluing the triangle pieces.
On Day 4, we made some decorations for the tree. I thought these peppermint rings were cute – and it was a great use of my stash of peppermints that I get with my Sonic Happy Hour drink.
I was worried about the kids getting into the Christmas tree this year and playing with the ornaments. I actually found a great solution – I put a few ornaments on the tree which they can touch, take of, play with or whatever, with the rule that the other ornaments are off-limits. So far it has worked great!
I REALLY like this decoration!! I get into the spirit of Christmas after it’s over. I think I should start following your example and get into the DOING a little earlier. great job and what fun!
